At Monday night’s final exhibition basketball game for the LCU Lady Chaps, four Honors students scored in double figures to lead the team in an impressive twenty-point victory. Haley Fowler (Sr. Math major), Alison Szabo (Soph. Criminal Justice major), Haley Burton (Sr. Accounting and Finance major), and Hannah Harbin (Soph. Chemistry major) joined a fifth player in leading the team with an average of 17 points each. Fowler led all players with 25 points, Szabo had 16, Burton 14, and Harbin 11.
The Lady Chaps, who finished first in the NCAA II Heartland Conference last year with a 20-0 record, have been led by Honors students for several years. “We are pleased that our students excel not only in the classroom but also on the court and in the community,” Honors director Dr. Stacy Patty noted.
Congratulations to Haley, Alison, Hannah, and Haley!
