Honors Humanities Major Journee Cotton has been selected as the Honors College Oxford Summer Scholar for 2016. Joining twenty-eight students from institutions across the United States for a summer semester of studies entitled Scholarship and Christianity at Oxford. Working in the British style of seminar research, mentored by an Oxford don, Journee will focus her studies on C. S. Lewis.
The students have settled in their housing, The Vines, secured library cards for use at Oxford’s Bodleian Library, and have learned how to use bicycles properly in the city of Oxford.
“We are pleased for this prestigious Oxford opportunity for our students,” Dean Patty commented. “This program will benefit our students and our college well.” Congratulations, Journee!
